About Me

Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I have had an evolving career from an RN to nurse therapist to a psychiatric NP to help those with serious mental illness. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has been a great role for me because I enjoy working with those who cope with mental illness in the community. I have had an opportunity to treat a wide variety of individuals with psychiatric conditions in a community setting.

What I want my patients to know about me:

Individuals will have an opportunity to discuss psychiatric symptoms and available treatment approaches. Treatment selection is a collaboration with the individual.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When not providing care I enjoy gardening, remodeling, travel and hiking. I am working on sustainable living endeavors with my husband.
