Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I have always enjoyed the science of medicine, how the applications of therapy can improve a medical condition. However the greatest meaning of my work comes from helping the people who are experiencing medical problems. This means understanding each person's priorities and shaping the therapy to align with those priorities.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I have practiced primary care internal medicine at this office since 1995. While the majority of my time is spent in managing WellSpan's Information Systems and our corporate quality and safety efforts, I greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve as a physician at the Apple Hill Office. My wife Jill and I have raised our three children here in the Dallastown school district.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy watching foreign and independent films and enjoying York's increasingly diverse restaurants. In my professional role as part of WellSpan's executive team I try to make sure that our information systems help improve the care we deliver. I am particularly proud of MyWellSpan, our patient portal, which allows patients to review their information quickly so that they know their results as soon as possible.
