About Me

Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

My grandfather and great-grandfather were both doctors, and my mother was a professor of veterinary medicine, which exposed me to medicine from an early age. Some of my earliest memories involve helping my mother to care for the many animals that we had growing up. As I grew older, I became more and more interested in the science of medicine and decided to pursue a medical degree. I discovered my passion for women’s healthcare during my time at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, and this was further strengthened throughout my medical training.

What I want my patients to know about me:

One out of every four adult women has at least one pelvic floor disorder, and yet, many of my patients are surprised to discover that they are not alone. I feel privileged to have found a field where I can use my medical knowledge and technical skills to help each patient make the right decision for her individual situation and to improve her quality of life.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I love spending time with my family, especially after-dinner walks, storytime and weekend hiking. I am originally from rural Alabama and have spent the last decade of my life moving from place to place for medical training. When we came to Eastern Pennsylvania, we immediately felt that we were home. My family and I are enjoying discovering all that Lancaster and Lebanon have to offer, and we feel blessed to have found such a perfect place to call our home!
