Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
There's something to be said about making a difference in someone's life. Having been on the receiving end, I knew early on I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. Combining this with my love of food, I became a registered dietitian. I am also a certified diabetes care and education specialist and a certified insulin pump trainer. My best friend has had type 1 diabetes for almost 40 years and I've seen the difference in how an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor have improved her blood sugars and quality of life.
What I want my patients to know about me:
There is no judgment. If it was easy, no one would be overweight or have uncontrolled blood sugars, etc. We are on the same team! Allow me to help you and let's work together to meet your health goals. I love getting to know my patients so I can better empower them on their journey to healthier living.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
My priority is spending quality time with my family and friends. I'm fortunate to have family members who live close by. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, cultures, and food. It's a beautiful world out there! I love the outdoors, hiking, and bird watching/photography. If feeling adventurous (not scared), I'll go for a ride with my husband on his motorcycle.
