Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
My younger brother was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when I was 6 years old. I watched the miracles of medicine save his life - nurses, therapists, doctors, interventionalists, philanthropy, technology- and I always knew I wanted to be a part of it. Growing up in medicine, I learned first hand the importance of patient care and the positive impact it has on the world.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I hope patients come with questions about their healthcare. I love having an open dialogue and providing education. There is no question too big or too small. There's so much information available at our fingertips these days - both good and bad - and when patients come prepared, I feel I can provide them the best experience. It is my hope that every patient leaves our visit with a much clearer understanding of their health than when they first came in.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I'm not seeing patients, I am enjoying my time with my husband, my Rottweiler and my Siberian Husky. My husband and I are both huge foodies, so don't be surprised to see us out at a restaurant or food truck in Chambersburg or the surrounding area! Feel free to say hi!
