Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I always knew that I wanted to help people. From a small child, I had an interest in understanding how the human body works. I love working in medicine, because it allows me to make positive changes in the lives of those I care for.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I feel it is extremely important to involve the patient in the decision-making process regarding their health care. I believe attention needs to be spent on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual parts of a patient equally to obtain optimal wellness. I understand the continuum of health care, as I have worked as an army medic, a nursing assistant, LPN, RN, and medical provider for a combined 30 years.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I'm not seeing patients, I spend time with my family. My favorite place is the beach or really any body of water. I love soccer, reading, and my grandchildren.
