Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I was seeking a career that combined my love of science and technology with my love of interacting with others and helping them to the best of my ability. The field of pulmonary and critical care medicine, and later, sleep disorders medicine has been rewarding to me and, hopefully, to those I have served.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I was raised as, and continue to be, a very family-oriented person. I'm from Pittsburgh, and very much love all things Pittsburgh and enjoy meeting folks from that area. I inherited a kidney disease, which eventually led me onto three years of dialysis, forcing me to work part time. So, I know what is like to be a patient with a chronic illness. However, I was grateful to receive a new kidney in the summer of 2019 and am feeling like my old self again.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Reading, trying to get back to the piano, learning video editing to make movies especially to document the life of my growing family.
Spending time with my wife, three sons and their wives, fiancee, and new granddaughter.
Walking, biking and a little gym time.
My wife and I love to travel.
