Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
From the time I was young, I have had a passion for medicine. I thought I wanted to be a doctor, but quickly realized that the nursing core values were more in line with my own thoughts on how I wanted to practice. As for my specialty, I did a rotation in NICU during nursing school and fell in love with both the population and the acuity. After many years as a NICU nurse, I went on to become a neonatal nurse practitioner. The rest is history!
What I want my patients to know about me:
I care deeply about partnering with parents navigating the journey through the NICU. I have dedicated my nearly two-decade career to not only growing babies, but also families.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. We have an 18-acre farm with fruit trees, chickens and honeybees.
