Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

As long as I can remember I wanted a career in healthcare. I loved helping people live life to the fullest through improved health. I took a detour in college with a different degree, but never lost interest in a healthcare career. Eventually I pursued a nursing degree and loved my role as a bedside nurse. I became a Nurse Practitioner in 2008. I loved combining the problem-based approach with a holistic/preventive medicine approach.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I am committed to helping my patients understand their medical diagnosis and how we can partner together to meet their healthcare goals. I view my involvement with their health to be important and hope to gain their trust.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two adult children and our dogs. I love to spend time outdoors - gardening, hiking, walking and cycling. I am also interested in creative DYI projects in my home, as well as reading a good book now and then.
