Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I chose to pursue a career in medicine because I enjoy helping people understand their health. Medicine is a career driven by service and as a nurse practitioner I strive to provide medical care with kindness, compassion, and understanding. A career in medicine also means that I will always get to learn something new.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I understand that medical visits can be scary for some people. I try to meet you where you are in your health journey. I think it is very important that a provider and a patient work as a team to get the best outcome. It is important to me that my patients understand that I truly care about their health. It is critical that patients understand their health, such as why they take the medications they take, why it is important to get the testing ordered, and why follow-ups are important. I feel that it is my job to help you understand these things and, as said before, meet you where you are in your health journey.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I am not seeing patients I spend time with my two children and my husband. I enjoy going to trivia, attending festivals and seeing movies.
