Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

To care for and guide people during illness or injury as well as their families. It's amazing when all goes well and we help people get better, however, I also want to help them and their families navigate any outcome so people are well-cared for, heard, respected and feel that we are working together as a team with the same goal of caring for them and their loved ones.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I keep at it until the work is done -- that we have answered your questions, explained things to family members and addressed any concerns. I want to accomplish this while working with my team of physicians, nurses and consultants to provide you the best care possible. My goal is to provide you with compassionate care and to communicate as clearly as we can. Everyone on the team is important!

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I find I really enjoy learning different things when I'm not under pressure to do so - more reading, but also fun reading, and learning about wherever I'm living at the moment. Being outside, ideally with friends, whenever possible!
