Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I chose a career in medicine to care for patients.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I love to clean, type, and be proactive, organized, and comprehensive. My goal is to provide-evidence based medical care. I like to know the name my patient prefers to be called by. I always review patient charts prior to entering the exam room so I can to maximize eye contact with my patients (instead of spending our time looking at the computer. I care that each patient is intentional, regardless of the situation, to always be kind to office staff.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Each day, I finish up the additional work that a doctor needs to do. After that, I enjoy reading books about leadership, relationships, and social justice. I also enjoy TED talks, board games, and volunteering with the Warwick Warblers. I take vacation time each year to attend Willow Creek Association's Global Leadership Summit. I care about social justice and personally support organizations like World Vision, Compassion International, Dalit Freedom Network, Equal Justice Initiative, International Justice Mission, and Doctors Without Borders.
