Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
My father had a heart attack requiring CPR in his early 40s (I was 13), of which he survived and did very well. After he got his stent and watching his post-op care, I realized medicine was a great career to pursue. While obtaining my bachelor's degree at Penn State, I wasn't sure of which direction to pursue until a friend introduced me to the Physician Assistant career. Once I researched it, I was hooked.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I know the idea of having heart surgery is frightening. My goal is to make the experience from prior to surgery through the recovery after as smooth and informed as possible. I enjoy talking with and managing the patient population as they recover.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I love spending time with my wife and family and watching my family grow. I enjoy traveling, experiencing new places and cuisines, scuba-diving, and going to zoos and aquariums.
