Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I enjoy helping others and helping them to live their best lives. Being in medicine not only allows me to do this from a healing stand point, but also proactively engage people in their own healthcare, allowing people to be in control of their own outcomes.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I feel very blessed to be able to work in the role of physician assistant. Previously I spent 10 years as an athletic trainer before completing my education as a physician assistant at PCOM. Starting my career as a critical care physician assistant allowed me to see the value of life and my personal life experiences have given me wisdom to know life is short. I focus on experiencing life and living it to its fullest. My goal is to help you do the same.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
CrossFit and Spartan Races are things I really enjoy, and some may say I have a competitive nature. Chasing my six year-old son may be my favorite activity, whether its watching him at one of his many sports or spending time baking and cooking together. On the weekends you may find me at a sporting event, spending time with my son, husband and close friends, or trying out new restaurants in the area. I also enjoy adventuring to new places and have found one of my favorite places to be Aruba.
