Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I chose to pursue a career in medicine for the opportunity to help others and impact their lives in a positive way. I enjoy medicine because it allows the perfect way to utilize my skills but also combines all of my interests. Family medicine specifically marries all my interests of being able to care for the whole person and focus on preventative care-as well as being able to see all ages. I love being able to see babies and kids, men and women, and older adults all in one place and even within the same day!
What I want my patients to know about me:
I want patients to know that I am always all ears! Primary care providers are meant to treat the whole person and look at all needs, and I take this very seriously. I try to involve my patients in all decision making and treatment plans and make the best decisions for each individual. I love developing meaningful and trusting relationships between patient and provider and hope that patients know that they can fully open up to me.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy traveling, reading and knitting! I also like to bake and spend time with my dog, Archie. Mostly, I love spending time with my friends and family-especially my nieces and twin nephews!
