Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

After experiencing an injury as a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in my early 20s, I was really touched by the care I received in the healthcare setting. I was especially moved by the nurses who helped me, and it inspired me to go into the field of healthcare.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I’ve been in the field of nursing since 2005, specializing in critically ill medical-surgical and neurological patients. I'm originally from York County and feel privileged to serve in the community where I grew up.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I'm not seeing patients, I really enjoy the chance to spend time with my family. We love watching movies, especially sci-fi and suspense films, and I love to read and listen to music (people are sometimes surprised by my musical tastes). Our two dogs (Benny and Archie) and rescue cat (Juna) add warmth and silliness to our household.
