Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
While exploring different career paths in college, I found that what I enjoyed most was connecting with patients while volunteering in the hospital. This led me to seriously consider medicine as a career. I also took time to work with children with autism, which was very rewarding and allowed me to get a sense of how big an impact a small gain could make. This was the biggest connection I made when I decided to go down the path of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I found it rewarding to see my patients build on their skills through the rehabilitation process, allowing for improvements in function and quality of life.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I enjoy working in a team environment that includes rehabilitation nurses, therapists, and case management to work with patients to improve on their function and quality of life. My patients are a vital part of the team as well and I encourage them to be as involved as possible. My interests include general rehabilitation, amputee care, and acupuncture. I can be found occasionally walking through the halls sharing my passion for card magic and performing for patients.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy exploring local restaurants and listening to live music. I am a big tennis fan and I am passionate about card magic.
