Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
Medicine provided an avenue for me to help the greater good while pursuing my interests in science, logic and the humanities. The practice of emergency medicine epitomizes the well-rounded, capable physician I strive to be. I thoroughly enjoy assembling the clinical “puzzle” to make the diagnosis and developing the best initial treatment plan for the patient.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I aim to provide medical care that is grounded in the best available evidence. As the research director for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Wellspan York Hospital, I feel strongly that quality research and quality healthcare go hand in hand. I am fellowship trained in emergency ultrasound and use bedside sonography frequently to optimize and expedite patient care.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, writing and playing music, reading and culinary pursuits.
