Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I chose a career in medicine, specifically nursing, because I enjoy the challenge and the variety of the work.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I want my patients to know that rural medicine is very important to me. I don't think a patient should have to travel hours to a large city to receive the best medical care. I also want them to know that I am one part of a team of professionals providing their care. All of those parts come together to provide the highest level of care.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy reading, hiking, knitting and cooking.
