Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
Believe it or not, I answered a lot of questions about myself, and an early computer program spewed out “dietitian.” I had no idea what a dietitian was. Then I shadowed a dietitian at a local hospital where my mom was a nurse and I decided it was a perfect career for me. There have been no regrets. I have been privileged to help people improve their health through the power of food for more than 35 years. Food is medicine!
What I want my patients to know about me:
My objective when meeting with clients/patients is they commit to at least one goal – small or big - to improve their diets and ultimately their health and quality of life.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Family including my new role as a grandma. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, inviting friends for dinner, swimming and playing golf. I am also very active in a local church.
