Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
All my life all I ever wanted to be was a physician, at least from the time I remember meeting my dear old pediatrician. He was the only one I wanted to see when I felt sick, since I was certain that he would make the pain and fever go away. I was lucky enough to have parents who were ready to support my dream and did everything they could to give me a good education. My passion for medicine and hard work landed me a position in a prestigious medical school in my state. That's when I realized what an amazing calling I had chosen because every single day is a gift to have the opportunity to care for people in their most vulnerable times. Being a physician provides innumerable opportunities and the immense privilege to help better the lives of people in their time of need.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I want them to know that when they come to me they have someone who is there to listen to their health issues, who is ready to discuss with them what is happening with regards to their health and involve them actively while formulating the best possible care plan along with them. I believe that the best possible outcome is when there is proper coordination of care, involving not just other medical specialties and services but more importantly the patient themselves for meeting their expectations of a high quality and cost-effective healthcare.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I love spending time with family, traveling, watching movies and reading. I recently moved to Pennsylvania and enjoy exploring its natural beauty during my free time.
