Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I chose nursing initially because of the job stability and the wide variety of career path options available. Medicine was always fascinating to me, there is something new to learn every day. I love being part of a team that stabilizes the most critically ill patients. The detail and complexity of critical care medicine are why I chose to work in the ICU.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I started my career as an ER RN then was a Flight Nurse for 8 years before I decided to become a Nurse Practitioner. I like learning my patients' stories and listening to what is important to them and their family.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I like to spend time with my husband and our dogs. You can usually find me with my family and friends doing anything that involves water like boating and the beach! I also enjoy coffee, reading, and planting flowers around my house.
