Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I chose medicine because I had worked in other areas previous to deciding to enter medical school and wasn’t quite satisfied that I was helping enough. Medicine gives me an opportunity to offer help to people which is important to me. It is also constantly changing as we discover new things so the opportunities for learning are endless. Family Medicine in particular is fun because I can build long term relationships with my patients and their families, and see a wide age range of people and disease courses.
What I want my patients to know about me:
When people come to see me, they can expect someone who listens, someone who will give an honest opinion and someone who will certainly talk with them about preventative health.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I am not seeing patients, you can often find me trying something new in the woodshop or on a mechanical project, archery hunting, spending time with my wife or my extended family, or other outdoor activities.
