The physicians and staff at WellSpan Infectious Disease treat adults with bacteremia, pneumonia, wound infections, MRSA, cellulitis, HIV, fevers of unknown origin and more. Both inpatient and outpatient consultative services are offered at WellSpan York Hospital and other area hospitals.
As part of our ongoing goal to make WellSpan services easier to access and use, we will coordinate your care through MyWellSpan, our secure online tool. Use MyWellSpan to manage your appointments, review lab and imaging study results, communicate with your doctor, access your confidential medical records and more. - Medical history review
- Physician consultation
- Diagnosis and treatment of infections and infectious diseases (including influenza, tuberculosis, Lyme disease, and other infections related to surgery, transplantation, trauma and cancer therapy)
- Immunizations, antibiotics, and other prophylaxis for infection prevention
- Prevention and treatment of healthcare–associated infections, such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Clostridium difficile, and education for health care professionals to prevent disease transmission
- Patient education on disease prevention topics including hygiene
