The Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Feeding Program is a developmental approach designed to assess and address a variety of factors related to feeding difficulties. The SOS approach allows a child to interact with food in a playful, non-stressful way. This approach can be utilized in individual sessions, as well as with small groups of two to three children. Oral motor strengthening techniques are utilized to improve strength of the oral motor cavity through stimulation techniques. Therapy focuses on increase of movement, range, strength, and control for the lips, cheeks, jaw and tongue to improve dysphagia and feeding difficulties.
WellSpan Pediatric Rehabilitation is able to offer a full spectrum pediatric therapy services. We are dedicated in providing services to families to assist with helping their children achieve their fullest potential. If you already have a relationship with a WellSpan practice, simply log into your account, and go to the Appointment Center section. As you progress through the scheduling process, you will be able to schedule an appointment with any provider or practice that already counts you as a patient.
