WellSpan Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy provides treatment that is individually designed to help people perform self care (such as bathing, eating, dressing), homemaking, work and leisure activities.

Occupational therapists use goal-directed activities to help improve physical or cognitive skills, fabricate hand splints and teach people to use assistive devices in order to be more self sufficient. Occupational therapy can benefit people of all ages. It is most often recommended for people who are experiencing difficulty with any activity due to:

  • Stroke (CVA) or head injury
  • Hand/arm injury and/or hand surgery
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome and other cumulative trauma
  • Fractures and joint replacements
  • Arthritis
  • Multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease
  • Cardiac and respiratory conditions
  • Many other types of injury, illness or disability

About the provider search

This search will provide you with WellSpan Medical Group and Northern Lancaster County (Ephrata) Medical Group primary care physicians and specialists. If we don’t have a WellSpan Medical Group physician to meet your criteria, the search will expand to include community physicians who partner with WellSpan Medical Group physicians through the WellSpan Provider Network or provide care to patients on the Medical Staffs of WellSpan’s Hospitals.
