WellSpan New Year's babies ring in 2024

Welcome to our New Year's babies!

Our WellSpan labor and delivery teams ushered in 2024 by welcoming new arrivals across our region.

At WellSpan York Hospital, Grayson Hayes Zornes greeted the new year at 12:02 a.m., just minutes after that city's annual White Rose Drop. The little boy weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He and his mom, Casey, were resting and doing well. Our labor and delivery team delivered two other babies within the first hour of the new year at WellSpan York Hospital as well!

Just a few hours later at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, Mattie Ann Eckenrode was born at 3:43 a.m. The daughter of Renee Cuff and Matthew Eckenrode, she weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

Not too long after that, Bentley Dallas Kohr was born at 7:35 a.m. at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. The son of Elizabeth Acosta and Kamrin Kohr, he weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 19.5 inches in long. Fun fact: father Kamrin also was a New Year's baby!

WellSpan has five labor and delivery units across our region in our eight hospitals, with birthing units at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital (in Lebanon), and WellSpan York Hospital.
