Are you looking into taking the steps to sobriety? Are you finding it hard to implement skills to reduce substance use in your daily life? Early Recovery is a group that will help you in achieving these goals. Our group facilitators are licensed professionals who have years of experience when it comes to helping with those who suffer with a substance use disorder. Early Recovery is a safe, judgement-free zone, that provides clients the skills to reach sobriety as well as the peer support needed to stay on track with the goal of sobriety. Early Recovery is a one-hour group that will provide education on substance use disorders. Group will identify triggers and urge behaviors that are associated with the substance use. Healthy coping skills will be taught and encouraged to be implemented throughout the program. Reflection skills will be used to identify the impact substance use has on clients and how this impacts relationships with others. Relapse prevention skills will be taught to members to help achieve the goal of sobriety. Recognizing and identifying defense mechanisms will be addressed as well as how to identify these mechanisms that could lead to denial. Group sessions will focus on:

  • Psychoeducation on substance use disorders
  • Identifying triggers and urge behaviors associated with substance use
  • Identification and implementation of healthy coping skills
  • Identification of the impact substance use has on self and others.

Individuals will be recommended for a higher level of care if they are having difficulties maintaining sobriety at an outpatient level of care.
