Description:

Empowered to Succeed is a series of classes for patients with diabetes mellitus. The topics covered are: what is happening in the body, how do diabetes medications work, the benefits of and how to safely exercise, nutrition and preventing complications with diabetes.

Class 1 -- "On the Road to Better Managing Your Diabetes"

Class 2 -- "Diabetes & Healthy Eating"

Class 3 -- "Monitoring Your Blood Glucose"

Class 4 -- "Continuing Your Journey with Diabetes"

Class 5 -- Dietitian Appointment

Class 6 -- Follow up and Support Session
