Description:

The Afterglow Group welcomes new mothers who are struggling with postpartum depression and/or anxiety to a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to learn and process together. Group will focus on:

Coping tools
Self-care
What to except
Questions to ask your provider when considering medication
Communicating with your partner
Attachment with your baby
Healing through art

This group was designed in collaboration with WellSpan OB/GYN practices. Group members must have had a child in the past year and have the ability to communicate effectively in a group format. An intake with a group facilitator is required. Group members cannot have active psychosis, active addiction or active SI/HI symptoms. Talk to your WellSpan OB/GYN or Philhaven provider.

Minimum age: 18

Instructions:

This 6-week group meets on Tuesdays 10:30 am to 12:00 pm with group leader Nicole Searfoss, PsyD. While all efforts will be made to assist you in entering a group as quickly as possible, you may need to be temporarily added to a waitlist.
