WellSpan Health has promoted Dr. David Gasperack to the role of senior vice president of primary care and population health for the system. In this role, Gasperack will continue to serve as the lead physician for primary care, as well as an expanded role overseeing the development, planning and execution of WellSpan’s value-based care strategy, in partnership with other members of the senior executive team.

Gasperack will lead the strategic direction and operations of WellSpan’s primary care and population health services, working closely with physicians, senior leaders and key partners to improve care quality, affordability and alignment across the system. As a member of the senior management team, he will play a vital role in shaping the future of health care delivery across the communities WellSpan serves.

Gasperack most recently served in the role of vice president of WellSpan and regional chief medical officer and chief medical officer of primary care. Prior to that, he held the role of vice president and regional chief medical officer for WellSpan’s east region.

In this new role, Gasperack will report to Dr. Anthony Aquilina, executive vice president and chief physician executive, WellSpan Health.
