Thank you for your interest in our summer volunteer program at WellSpan. We are not currently accepting applications for summer 2024.
The summer volunteer program has a variety of opportunities, so applicants must be flexible and open to many different types of volunteer positions within healthcare. You may not be placed in an assignment that is your first choice; placement is determined by Volunteer Engagement.
Summer program requirements:
- Summer volunteers must commit to 75 hours during the summer program, which is approximately 12-16 hours per week (two weeks off during the summer to enjoy vacations and/or camps).
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- Volunteer shifts are typically:
- 8 a.m. - noon
- noon - 4 p.m.
- 4-8 p.m.
- Application deadline was February 23, 2024.
What Happens When I Apply?
Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed by Volunteer Engagement. If initial qualifications are met, you will be contacted via email with next steps and dates to attend a mandatory volunteer orientation session before May 2024. Due to the popularity of this program, only a limited number of applicants will be accepted in to the program.
As part of our program, you will be required to interview, complete all onboarding requirements which include health screening, criminal, child abuse and FBI clearances and be formally cleared before May 30.
