Skillful Mama - Ephrata

Event Image

Pregnancy and the time period after giving birth can be challenging. The way we respond to situations may have changed, old skills may not work as well, and emotions may look and feel different. Skillful Mama is a DBT-informed group that is focused on teaching skills to help regulate these emotions so that we can respond to situations in ways that help us in the long run.

Group members must currently be pregnant or have given birth within the past 2 years. Must have custody of child, unless child was placed for adoption or in cases of surrogacy. Group members must be able to use Zoom, and have the ability to communicate effectively in a group format. Group members cannot have active psychosis, active addiction or active SI/HI symptoms.

Current Philhaven patients should talk to their provider. For new Philhaven patients, please call (717) 851-1375 or (800) 459-7497.

Minimum Age: 18

This group meets on Wednesdays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with group leader Lydia Hackenberg, PsyD. While all efforts will be made to assist you in entering a group as quickly as possible, you may need to be temporarily added to a waitlist.
