Description

Do you find yourself becoming easily frustrated during situations or around certain individuals? Are you frequently expressing emotions of anger? Anger Management is an outpatient group that can allow individuals to manage their emotions. Managing one’s emotions looks different for everyone. This group will focus on recognizing triggers and problem-solving strategies. Anger Management will also provide education on individual anger styles. While discussing anger management, participants will also discuss effective communication techniques and coping skills that can aid in managing anger. Group sessions will focus on:           

  • Learning individual anger styles
  • Triggers
  • Problem solving strategies
  • Effective communication techniques
  • Developing a range of healthy coping skills and tools for changing behavior and managing anger

Group members must be able to communicate effectively in a group format. Members cannot have active psychosis, active addiction or active suicidal or homicidal thoughts.

Instructions

This group meets virtually for 10 weeks on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm with group leader Shawne Diaz, LPC. While all efforts will be made to assist you in entering a group as quickly as possible, you may need to be temporarily added to a waitlist.
