WellSpan's Dr. Roy A. Himelfarb Surgery Center honored nationally for surgical expertise

For the third year in a row, WellSpan's Dr. Roy A. Himelfarb Surgery Center in Chambersburg is nationally ranked for its surgical expertise and dedicated staff on Newsweek's America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers of 2024 list.

We are honored to be named as one of the nation's best ambulatory surgery centers by Newsweek yet again for 2024," said Niki Hinckle, senior vice president, West Region. "Our providers and staff work tirelessly to provide the best possible care to each and every one of our patients. We are extremely proud of our team's efforts that make us one of the top ambulatory centers in the country year after year."

In partnership with Statista, Newsweek analyzed more than 5,000 Ambulatory Centers in the United States. They also surveyed an expert panel of healthcare experts including nurses, therapists, physicians and surgeons, ranking the facility in terms of quality of surgery preparations, quality of surgical care, quality of follow-up care and management of waiting times.

Newsweek's list spotlights more than 500 facilities within the 25 states with the most ambulatory surgery centers, including Pennsylvania. These are facilities where patients can have specific surgical procedures that often don't require hospitalization.

The Dr. Roy A. Himelfarb Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art, multi-specialty center, accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Patients can receive a wide range of care, including ENT, gynecology, general, breast care, plastic, podiatry, orthopedic, dental, eye, urology, spinal and pain procedures.
