Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
In intensive care, multiple care providers work simultaneously for the benefit of the acutely ill patient. In this setting, the responsibility of a critical care physician is pivotal. Looking out for the best interest of the patient and family members is just as important as medical care. My goal is to provide all these aspects to the best of my ability. On a personal level, I witnessed the effects of severe asthma on my family. My grandmother died of an asthma exacerbation and my mother struggled for years to control her asthma. I can empathize with my patients due to my experiences.
What I want my patients to know about me:
There are many facets to a clinical condition and many ways to treat a disease. But most importantly, there is only one way to treat one another -- with kindness.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I like to spend time with my wife and kids. I like to travel and exercise. I have an interest in photography.
