Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
Early in life, I was often called on to care for three younger siblings. As I grew, nurturing, care giving, and a desire to help others developed as part of my nature. Choosing a career in the medical field allowed me to fulfill my desire to nurture and care for others. It also allows me to participate in the humanitarian work of treating illness and educating people about taking charge of their own health. I am grateful to identify as a care provider and to have a career that fulfills my calling.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I see my patients as the individuals they are and would like to let them know that, as their care provider, I would like to join with them in taking mutual ownership of their health. Illness can slow our lives down at times, but I am here to help expedite your healing process and to help you plan for better health in the future. I am grateful for your trust in my care.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying in touch with my Burmese community. My hobbies include traveling, cooking, sewing, training in martial arts, snowboarding, riding bicycle trails, and hosting game nights with family and friends. Young adult ministries and translation services are two of my personal missions for giving back to the community.
