Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I knew at an early age that I wanted to be a physician. I liked several things about medicine: the ability to work with and help people on a daily basis, the challenge of problem-solving, and working with a team. I was drawn to family medicine in medical school because it truly allows you to take care of not only people—but their families and the community.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I like working with patients to create goals of care. I believe patients should be educated about their disease process and be actively involved with managing their own health. I believe healthy lifestyle choices are the key to good health and enjoy discussing ways patients can live healthier lives. I also have a particular interest in women's health and procedures.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy running, reading and theater. I do obstacle runs for fun!
