Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I have been interested in science and biology and medicine since my early childhood and cannot remember wanting to be anything but a physician. I love all of the sciences and still read about the Earth sciences.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I have long been interested in the Earth sciences, especially Oceanography and Geology. One of my heroes is Dr. Robert Ballard who found the wreck of the Titanic. I am from a Naval family and spent my childhood traveling around the world. I have lived in Japan, Germany, England and the former Soviet Union. I attended 12 schools before graduating high school at Phillips Andover Academy.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I have always enjoyed photography and have taken tens of thousands of photographs. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. One of my favorite pursuits is spending time walking and swimming with my Goldendoodle, Lucy.
