Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
From as far back as I can remember, I always looked forward to my well-child appointments when I was able to ask all of my questions and spend time with my doctor. Later I developed a love of interacting with others and being able to teach and learn from them. That, combined with my interest in anatomy, as well as lifelong learning, encouraged me to become a physician. I am passionate about patient education, which is what inspired me to pursue family medicine for my career. There is so much opportunity to teach as well as learn from each and every patient.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I care about each and every patient I see and strive to keep their health, wellness, and safety as my top priorities. I always hope to work together as a team. I also really enjoy getting to know my patients and their families and love when visits become a little reunion!
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I spend my free time with my family and two very lovable dogs. Exercising and staying active are important to me and great when combined with burning some puppy energy outside!
