Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I chose a career in medicine to take care of and treat all men and women. I chose surgery because I am able to take care of the problem quickly and efficiently. I chose colorectal surgery because so many men and women have colorectal and anorectal issues that negatively and significantly affect daily life, and I am able to give them their lives back.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I treat my patients the way I want to be treated. I talk to patients in plain language and make sure that they understand what is going on with their body, so they can be involved in their own care. Surgery is not always the answer. If someone does not need surgery, I will say so.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I like to spend time with my family and pursuing my hobbies (cars, history, travel to name a few).
