Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I always wanted to be able to work with my hands, be able to interact with many different people and always be academically challenged. I didn't want to be tied down behind a desk. Medicine offers me the ability to constantly have to learn and put into practice scientific advances, new technologies, use of informatics, use of video equipment, the ability to both lead and be a member of a team and interact with people from all different socioeconomic and demographic backgrounds. It also gives us the tools to help people feel better both mentally and physically. It is an honor and privilege to be able to work with our patient partners across this great region.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I always feel grateful that someone has trusted me with their health and my promise is to take care of each person like they are a member of my family. Our team will always strive to give the best care we can and we hope to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Having grown up in Maryland, I have a special affinity and attachment to central Pennsylvania.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy learning history, watching sports (NFL, baseball and college basketball), coaching my kids in tennis, playing tennis and golf and traveling around the world learning about different cultures. I cherish the time I have with my wife, kids, family, co-workers and friends.
