Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
During high school, I had a very inspiring chemistry teacher who made learning science and experimentation challenging, yet rewarding. I fell in love with the life sciences during this time! I also knew that I wanted to impact the lives of people in a meaningful way that incorporated my passion for science and love of people, and also allowed me to serve in a leadership capacity. These interests ultimately led me to the field of medicine.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I enjoy getting to know each and every one of you. It is a great privilege to be considered your confidante and be able to assist you in your time of need. I see my role to be one of an educated health advisor who is there to provide you with facts about your health, after which we collectively come up with a plan that allows you to live the life you envision for yourself.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Being an only child, I'm closely knit to my parents and enjoy spending time with them in NJ, gardening, traveling together and cooking. I also enjoy getting together with friends and exploring the surrounding cities such as Philadelphia, NYC, or D.C. Some of my interests include hiking, cooking Indian meals, watching NBA and, more recently, hot yoga.
