About Me

Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:

I have always had a desire to help people. I began my career in health care as a volunteer with fire/rescue when I was teenager. My time, both volunteer and career, as an EMT and paramedic set the foundation for my desire to complete my nursing degree. My experiences with fire/rescue and nursing, in conjunction with my own personal life experiences, set the path for me to become a nurse practitioner. I chose to become a nurse practitioner so that I can make a positive impact in the life of my patients, their families, and my community.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I want my patients to know that I am here for them. I will listen, encourage and educate. We will work together to ensure a holistic approach to their healthcare.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I am not seeing patients, I spend my free time with my family. My husband and I support our daughter and son at their various athletic events. We also enjoy traveling, fishing, movies and good food.
