Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I had an interest in the study of human anatomy and physiology in college. The opportunity to use that knowledge to the benefit of others attracted me to the field of medicine. I derive satisfaction from being able to use my knowledge of women’s health to the benefit of my patients.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I thrive to be a true generalist OB/GYN. From routine vaginal deliveries, infertility care, minimally invasive surgery, urinary incontinence care to prolapse care, I thrive to provide these services to my patients locally so they do not have to travel to receive such specialized care. I see my role as providing the medical information that patients need and together coming up with a therapeutic plan that meets that standard of care but also respects the values of patients.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I am not working, I spend a considerable amount of my time in church activities. I also enjoy spending time with my family at home. Traveling with the family or by myself is a source of stress relief for me. An occasional alone time at home watching a movie or doing nothing is also refreshing.
