Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I've always wanted to care for others, and my earliest memories are comforting my ill grandmother. I tell many of my patients that "they are in the driver seat." I am there with them giving directions, giving support, and ultimately steering them to a healthier life.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I always try to learn something new, and if applicable will share it. If I don't know something, I will admit it and look for the information. If there is a lifestyle change that will help, I will support it. I'm a visual person, so I always provide handouts. I love a good laugh!
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I love to read, everything from exploration of ruins, romance and mysteries. I enjoy gardening and watching things grow. I also love traveling, but nothing rustic— no camping on the ground. Regardless of where I live, I must have water and woods.
