Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
My curiosity in medicine piqued after having my own shoulder surgery from a softball injury. The ability to change someone's life initially drew me to the subspeciality. I enjoy the challenge of surgery and feel at home in the OR. The opportunity to meet patients in the office, walk them through the process and help them understand what is going on in their body is important to me. After surgery, seeing an immediate change in my patients is something that makes me want to continually better myself as a surgeon and continue to excel in my specialty.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I'm committed to my patients' well-being. Whether that means surgery or not, I aim to treat my patient on the whole and not just as a "knee" or "hip." I hope to give you the time you need and get you the best outcome you desire.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I'm not in the office or in the OR, I enjoy spending time with my own family and friends. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places and I like experiencing new cultures. I'm a huge sports fan and love spending a day at a baseball or football game. I'm a person who enjoys being on the go. You won't find me just sitting at home much, but finding some time to relax and refuel is definitely important to me!
