Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I came out of the military where my job had little to do with medicine; I was an infantryman. In that role, however, I was faced with numerous situations where first aid and lifesaving skills had to be applied. This gave me taste for helping people with their health and once I got out of the military decided to pursue nursing.
What I want my patients to know about me:
Like everyone else in the world, I certainly have good and bad days but I will always do my best to listen to what you have to say as well as work alongside you to accomplish your health goals.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I spend a lot of time at home working on renovations. I am not a house flipper per se but am currently working on my third house renovation. There is something relaxing about it and gives me an outlet for creativity.
