Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I chose a career in medicine because I really enjoy interacting with and helping people, and knowing that I can play a small part in improving my patients' health and well-being brings me great joy and satisfaction.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I was born and raised on a farm in East Berlin, Adams County, where my parents still live to this day. I am thankful for the experiences I had growing up on a farm and am so thankful my parents taught me how to work! I am married with three children, one daughter and two sons. My husband and I met in college in West Virginia.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I am not at my "paid job," I am busy shuttling my children to their different activities with church, school and sports, whether it's baseball, marching band or youth group activities. I enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking and learned from the best, my mom. I also enjoy scrapbooking.
