Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I like to think nursing is in my genes! I am following in the footsteps of my mother and several other family members who were all nurses. How I ended up in the NICU, however, was fate. I will never forget the day in nursing school when it was slow in pediatrics and they sent me to the NICU. I knew instantly that it was where I wanted to be.
What I want my patients to know about me:
Fun facts about me: 1) I am a certified trainer specializing in functional fitness and kettlebells, 2) I went dogsledding in Iceland with my daughter and 3) I vacation in Cape May, New Jersey every summer.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I'm not swinging kettlebells I enjoy relaxing with a good book.
